CORON

Are you thinking about traveling through the Philippines?

You're so right — we explored only Palawan, and we loved every bit of it. The Philippines stole our hearts with its stunning nature, incredibly friendly people, and delicious food.

We kicked off our Philippine adventure in Coron — the perfect place to slow down before diving into a boat expedition of 4 days to El Nido.

While we didn’t pack our days with activities, we enjoyed relaxing at our hotel and did one tour to see Coron’s famous (but touristy) highlights.

If you're planning on doing a Palawan trip, this is a great starting spot to unwind for a few days — take it easy, soak up the views, and get ready for the journey ahead.

HOTEL: AL FARO RESORT AND RESTAURANT

We stayed at Al Faro in Coron, and it was the perfect place to unwind. Perched on a hillside overlooking a quiet bay, this spot felt like something straight out of White Lotus — in the best way.

The open-air rooms are dreamy, with stunning views over the water, and the whole place has this laid-back, barefoot-luxury feel. Yes, there are a few steps to climb to get there, but don’t worry — the staff is incredibly helpful and will take care of your bags with a smile.

There’s a peaceful yoga and massage studio, a beautiful pool with a view, and the cutest little restaurant where we sipped cocktails and finally felt like we were on vacation. You can also book private tours directly through the hotel, arrange airport or port transfers, and even rent kayaks to explore the bay at your own pace.

If you're looking to decompress in style, this is your spot.
