PORT BARTON
We chose Port Barton to break up the long journey from El Nido to Puerto Princesa - and it ended up being the perfect final stop for our Philippines adventure.
Much quieter than El Nido or Coron, it has a peaceful, exclusive feel with not much to do but relax at the beach (which we fully embraced).
There are some lovely spots for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a few must-visits we’re excited to share. You can explore nearby beaches by tricycle or, even better, by boat—something we definitely recommend.
One of our favorite memories?
Following a live band from bar to bar with our friends from the boat expedition.
A magical way to end the trip.
HOTEL: YUMI VILLAS
We stayed at Yumi Villas in Port Barton and absolutely loved it!
Tucked at the edge of town, just a short stroll from the beach and right near our favorite breakfast spot (Fat Cat Bistro), this place instantly feels calm and refreshing. Port Barton is small, but stepping into Yumi Villas feels like entering your own peaceful bubble.
The property has around four beautifully designed villas, each with double rooms and bathrooms, an open-air living space with a small kitchen, and dining area. The pool in the center ties it all together – super aesthetic and perfect for a dip at any time of day. Everything was clean, quiet, and thoughtfully done – a real contrast to some of the more rustic spots in town.
The team was also incredibly kind, and they even served us breakfast each morning. Such a great base to relax and enjoy Port Barton!
