DHERMI
Dhërmi was our final stop on the Albanian coast, where we spent six days split between two very different hotels — one right by the seaside and one up in the mountains overlooking the water.
It’s a fast-developing and upcoming area, with a lot of new projects and construction ongoing, but everything is moving quickly and the energy feels very dynamic. Along the beach, a long boardwalk connects restaurants, beach bars, and lounges, making it easy to explore different spots throughout the day and evening.
One of the highlights here was a boat excursion along the coastline. A small boat took us out to a secluded beach to relax, and we also stopped to explore some of the well-known sea caves in the area, which was a great way to see a different side of Dhërmi.
Overall, it was a great place to end our trip with a relaxed, beach-focused stay.
HOTEL: EMPIRE RESORT
We stayed at Empire Resort, a beachfront resort in Dhërmi, and really enjoyed our time here.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pool area is a great place to spend the day, and there’s also a beach lounge right in front of the sea where you can easily switch between the water and a sunbed.
Right next to the hotel is the beach bar and restaurant Sanur Beach, where we had dinner one evening. In high season, this spot also hosts parties, adding a livelier atmosphere to the area.
The hotel also has a gym, and you can walk along the coast to reach Dhërmi Beach. Overall, it’s a comfortable beachfront stay with good facilities and easy access to everything nearby.
HOTEL: ZOE HORA
We stayed at Zoe Hora, a mountain hideaway above Dhërmi set within an old village that has been carefully expanded into a unique hotel concept.
Our room was huge and easily fit five of us, located in one of the newer parts of the property while still blending into the village setting. The atmosphere here feels very different from the coast — quieter, more elevated, and surrounded by nature.
The highlight is definitely the pool area, which comes with incredible views over Dhërmi and the sea below. The on-site restaurant is also located here, making it a perfect spot to spend the day.
They also have a beautiful spa with sauna, steam room, emotional showers, and massages, which is ideal after a day in the sun or exploring the area. Next to the pool, there’s a relaxed bar serving cocktails, and the bartender can make pretty much anything you ask for.
Overall, it’s a special place to slow down and enjoy the mountain side of Dhërmi with amazing views and great facilities.
