Tirana

We only spent one night around Tirana, on the way to the south of Albania, but instead of staying in the city, we chose a nearby agritourism farm just outside town. The idea was mainly to experience the accommodation and enjoy a proper farm-to-table stay, with dinner and breakfast made from local produce, which was something we were really looking forward to.

We also did a short bike tour through Tirana itself, but to be honest, we weren’t the biggest fans of the city. For us, the highlight of this stop was definitely the peaceful setting outside the city and the food experience at the farm rather than Tirana itself.

HOTEL: BLERINA’S AGRITOURISM CONCEPT

The setting is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by nature and farmland, with a relaxed, wholesome atmosphere that immediately makes you slow down. The rooms are super spacious, and beautifully designed, while still feeling warm and connected to the farm surroundings.

The food here was a real standout — fresh, seasonal, and completely farm-to-table. Both dinner and breakfast were genuinely delicious and felt super authentic, like a true taste of Albanian countryside cooking.

A really fun touch was the sourdough starter waiting in the room as a gift, which you can take home with you. It’s those little details that make the stay feel extra special.

If you’re near Tirana, this is an easy recommendation for a calm, food-focused escape in nature.
